Pistonhead Cider
Background:
Pistonhead saw an opportunity to expand its offerings from beer to also include cider. This is because most people primarily purchase their products based on image and style. By offering cider as well, they can reach potential consumers who appreciate the Pistonhead image but are not fond of beer.

Brief: 
Create an expression for Pistonhead cider where we leverage the beer brand's strongest visual assets while simultaneously not being perceived as a flavored beer.

Solution:
Pistonhead's round, centered graphic format was retained to maintain a clear connection to the brand's original products. The black background color was replaced with a dark color associated with the flavor variant, in this case, a deep purple color. The flames at the bottom received a different expression but also a greater emphasis to ensure differentiation from Pistonhead's beer segment, as well as to signal the flavor variant and thereby create a system that can accommodate other flavor variations.
